Despite the unforeseen pandemic that has impacted all of our lives, the Datemats consortium is working hard to keep up with the planned activities and objectives. The restrictions applied initially in Italy and Spain and spreading quickly all over Europe, forced the Datemats partners to cancel their travel arrangements for reaching MATERFAD in Barcelona, supposed to host the 3rd Consortium meeting on early April. Instead, Project coordinator Venere Ferraro of PoliMi opted for a virtual one-day session.
Nevertheless the screen-filtered meeting, the exchange between partners was intense and fruitful, confirming the good team-spirit and enthusiasm while collaborating. A testimony of the great sense of cooperation is the creation of our very own Datemats glossary: a joint extra output of MATERFAD’s Robert Thompson and PoliMi’s Stefano Parisi to enrich the project results.
The efforts of this first year of project activity are made tangible with the Datemats e-book presenting the outcomes of an active dialogue with the Datemats Stakeholders of different industrial sectors, identifying gaps and issues encountered in the knowledge transfer process from academia to industry. The document will be released soon, together with the before mentioned glossary. all the public available documents will be shared on the Datemats website.
